Just had a phone call from Healthcare at Home re my Enbrel delivery. She said in future I'll get 12 weeks delivery each time instead of just 4 weeks. I thought afterwards, I'm going to have difficulty getting it all in the fridge.

Does anyone else get it delivered like this?

Did they say why they are doing that Lyn?

I would not be able to keep 12 weeks supply of humira in the fridge.( well I would if we had no food!)

Hi Lynn,

that does seem odd!! I get 2 months worth of Humira - which is 4 pens and no problem. I gather you have even more with Enbrel! Surely there is a mistake, or just a one off for some reason?
I'm sure someone must have the answer.

Oh crikey Lyn!! I do hope this isn't going to be the plan for the future. I've just spent two months using up a backlog (which had taken over my fridge!) and it took me ages to persuade them to stop dispensing it whilst I caught up.

Are you on the 50ml or 25ml? I'm on 25ml twice weekly so 12 weeks supply would be 6 boxes! Scared ... oh well one way to lose weight as there will not be room for food. Rest of the family might not be so happy with the arrangement though!

Hi Lyn,
Yep I had a call from Healthcare at home just before Christmas to say they were going over to delivering that much, I said okay and then had a huge problem fiinding room for it all in the fridge, I rang them about it and they said the hospital had agreed to moving to three monthly, but its far too much for a normal fridge. As it was, lots was wasted as I came off it in January and they didn't turn up on the agreed date to collect what was left! It might be worth getting in touch with your hospital and telling them you don't want three months worth as once.
Best wishes
Sheila

Thanks for that. I'll get in touch with HAH and see why they're doing this.
